About The Cowdog Blog

Originally–I had thought I would write about ranching, cattle, horsemanship, and of course: cowdogs. More accurately: my cowdog Scout. I was going to document the vast successes I was having while training him to be a functioning member of our team at the ranch, and how he’d be the greatest thing since sliced bread for working cattle.

Instead: I am writing and posting about how Scout might possibly be a demon in dog form, and how he exasperates my wife and I, daily.

I have background in Journalism, but my real love is Creative Writing–so this blog is a way for me to continue writing creatively–with a Blue Heeler often hanging from one arm, or throwing toys in light fixtures, or lighting things on fire.

I hope to write regularly enough to keep you coming back, and to expand my readership beyond my very supportive family and friends.

As always, feel free to contact me and Scout at: cowdogblog@gmail.com

We appreciate comments and suggestions.

Cheers,

Ty and Scout
